Philip J. King (1925 – 2019) was an American Roman Catholic priest, renowned Old Testament scholar, professor emeritus of Boston College, and archaeologist who spent his life standing at the intersection of two important disciplines—the Bible and archaeology.
During 70 years of ministry, Father King inspired generations of students to love the scriptures. And he advised them to "read the Old Testament as the writers intended it to be read...as a good Jew would read it." He especially loved the Psalms prayer book of the Bible and teaching young seminarians and others to appreciate it.
In Biblical Guideposts on the Road of Life, King focuses on the Psalms and the life lessons you can glean from its pages.
